Book Review of Michael Morpurgo’s Kensukes Kingdom by Tatara
Kensuke’s Kingdom is an amazing book to read!
Why?
Well keep on reading to find out! 😉
Me and my class liked the events that were happening in the book from loneliness to joy and from joy to war.
“I heard in the wind above me in the sail. I remember thinking, this is silly, you haven’t got your safety harness on, you haven’t got your lifejacket on. You shouldn’t be doing this…… I was in the cold of the sea before I could even open my mouth.”
‘Washed up on an island in the pacific, Micheal struggles to survive on his own . With no food and no water he curls up to die. When he wakes up there is a plate beside him of fish fresh fruit and a bowl of fresh water.
He is not alone………
OSU game review by Lexie
Osu (pronounced oh-s) is a free-to-win rhythm game published online on September 16, 2007. Ever since, it’s become a fun game full of friendly people to interact with.
You can download it at: http://osu.ppy.sh ((it doesn’t require an installation!! Well it does but it doesn’t take too long.. 😀 ))
But what is osu?..
A game. That’s it put simply. I’ve recommended it to a lot of my friends and they’ve backed away, but that’s because it requires a lot of patience to master. I’ve been playing it for a year and I still can’t play it that well. It’s fun, but addictive!
How do you play it?..
You can play it with either a normal computer mouse or something else like a touchscreen laptop or a magical, amazing GRAPHICS TABLET!
It’s gorgeous, right?
Anyway, most osu players use a graphics tablet because it offers more control than a regular computer mouse. There are a few people that use a mouse. (like the user http://osu.ppy.sh/u/18983 Doomsday)
You can use either the left click button on your mouse or your keyboard to click. All you need to do is go to the game’s options and change the key bindings. They set as the default, z and x, but if you’re left handed or you don’t like the keys in general, you can change them to whatever you like!
Famous Players
There are many osu players who have taken their osu ‘career’ as far as broadcasting themselves playing the game online. This is mostly done by the well-known-not-so-well-known website by the name of Twitch. (Kids, don’t even think about it. There’s an age restriction..)
One of the most well-known players go by the name of Cookiezi. He is currently #3 on the global rankings for the game. He is normally the person to play extremely hard maps with the HDHR mods on. (Hard Rock and Hidden. More about them later on..)
Another famous player is WubWoofWolf. He doesn’t play osu as often as he used to, but what do you expect from a teenager? He has a youtube channel by the same name where he posts himself playing the game.
Hvick225 and Rafis are known to use the DTHD mods (Double time and Hidden) so they can get extra performance points, or pp. (don’t laugh.)
Mods
Mods, as the name suggests, modify the game and can either decrease your final score or improve it. Most advanced players use the mods that go by the names HD, HR, DT, FL and SD. These stand for Hidden, Hard Rock, Double Time, Flashlight and Sudden Death.
Hidden makes the surround circles around the hit circled disappear, making it harder to know when to click. Hard rock flips the map around and makes the hit circles smaller. Double time speeds the map up by 0.5 and flashlight, literally the most annoying mod to ever exist, makes everywhere except around your cursor black, so you can only see some of the play area. Sudden death won’t let you miss any notes or ‘slider break’, or you fail..
Slider breaking is when you are holding a slider and either let go of the key you use for clicking or you go off track of the slider.
DIEP.IO Game Review by Kelvin
Diep.io is another .io trend game. It is like Agar.io but instead there is a blue body/hull in a circle shape (there is a possibility of a red body/hull but only in other game modes) with a cannon on the front of it with this cannon you shoot smaller circles-which are the bullets- and try to kill other users from all over the world. (NOT literally).
You start the game at level 1-unless you die at a high level, in which you spawn at half the level you died at e.g. you died at lvl. 10 and you want to play again this time you’ll spawn at lvl.5 – your tank can be upgraded but only when you level up, when you collect enough points to reach level 15 you may upgrade your tank completely/give it a new look. This game is really addictive and fun I recommend it to any gamer, another reason to play it is that you can play FFA (free for all), domination & team matches.
To sum it all up: You are a tank and you try to kill others and take their points while trying to survive.
